Make a portable X server on a computer powered by Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. The tool includes a PuTY replacement package and an improved PuTTY Link SSH client.

Xming is the leading X Window Server for Microsoft XP/Vista/Windows7. It is fully featured, lean, fast, current, simple to install and because it is standalone native Microsoft Windows®, easily transported portable as a pocket X server.
Xming is totally secure when used with and optionally includes an enhanced PuTTY Link SSH client and a portable PuTTY replacement package. Xming can work completely independent of the Window's registry when used with Xming-portablePuTTY.

Interactive 3D graphics capability is provided compatible with OpenGL/GLX.
Xming is cross-compiled on Linux for Microsoft Windows (32-bit x86), using MinGW, mainly from the canonical X.Org source code with my patches applied. It is kept current and secure with frequent updates from X.Org, XKB, FreeType2, Pthreads-Win32, Mesa, PuTTY and Freedesktop Bugzilla.

I bought the Asymetric Video Producer 3.0 version when it was first released in 1993. It came with Compel 2.0, 3D FX and [ T_T I forgot what it was ] .. anyway; with my new Reveal TV-500 capture card, it was faster and easier than Adobe Primiere 5.0 & 5.1. It didn't like the the Windows 95 update at all! ( well, yeah - it worked .. but not very well. ) Producer 4.0 came out. It would not install on Win95 w/o Producer 3.0's DLL. ( not sure why, even to this day! ) ASYMSA40.dll worked miracles on Video Editings. (( now that's saying a lot coming from an AiST Media Mania TV Owner. True, it could do anything Primiere & AE could "and faster than adobe products, but editing was all I bought it for.
